What changed in 2026
Odoo said it had not changed its prices since 2022 despite 26% cumulative inflation, and that rising AI, hosting and infrastructure costs led it to adjust them.
The change is concentrated in the Custom plan, which goes up 20%. Standard and the free app stay the same. The new item is the light user, designed so every employee can handle HR tasks without a full license.

Standard or Custom: how to choose
Choose Custom if you need any of these:
Custom development or Studio
To adapt screens, fields or processes, or add your own modules.
Integrations with other systems
The external API lets you connect Odoo with banks, e-commerce, in-house systems or AI tools.
Several companies
Multi-company to manage different legal entities in one database.
Odoo.sh or your own server
For control over the environment, test environments or specific hosting requirements.
If your operation works with Odoo as it comes and in a single company, Standard is usually enough.
The light user
It is a lower-cost license for employees who only need HR features, such as recording time off, expenses or viewing their payslips. It is useful for companies with many operational staff who do not work in the system all day.
On Odoo’s page for Argentina it starts at US$ 2.90 and is quoted by an Odoo advisor according to each organization’s needs.
What the license does not include
- Implementation: assessment, configuration, data migration, training and support.
- Odoo.sh hosting, if you choose that option.
- Custom development and its maintenance at each version upgrade.
- In-app purchase credits: SMS, lead generation, bill reading and AI.
- Integrations with other systems.
Where you can optimize the cost
The most common savings are not in the price per user but in how the solution is put together: how many full users are needed and how many can be light, whether it makes sense to start on Standard, which developments can be avoided by using standard features and how ongoing maintenance is organized.
